B.E. Mechatronics Engineering (Accredited by NBA)

The Department of Mechatronics Engineering was established in the year Academic Year 2011-2012.The Sanctioned Intake of students raised from 60 to 120 since 2013. 8 batches have passes out successfully. The department, apart from the undergraduate program, is engaged in many other activities such as industrial consultancy, Industrial training, Research, Organizing seminars and conferences. Well-trained faculty members with experience in imparting knowledge to the students are grouped in this department. A conducive atmosphere is created to enable the students to enjoy the maximum benefits out of the available state-of-the-art equipment’s and fabulous infrastructure. Undergraduate students are encouraged to undertake various research projects and encouraged to spend time in neighboring industry.

The department offers design and manufacturing-based engineering curriculum. The primary focus of our curriculum is to impart technical know-how to students, promote their problem solving skills and innovation of new technologies. Department offers large number of inter-disciplinary courses for providing cross cutting knowledge to the students to pursue their interest. The course contents are periodically updated for introducing new scientific and technological developments.  The department is mainly aimed to provide the useful knowledge to the students in developing innovative thoughts for future India. We impart training to our students according to market needs by involving them in the projects beyond the curriculum. The students are engaged in the tasks which are helpful to provide an exposure to latest technologies used in Mechatronics Engineering industry. For this student are given projects from 3rd semester onward implementing the subject knowledge that they gained in the semester. Utmost importance is given to impart good quality technical education along with moral values.

HOD'S Message

“Artificial intelligence is growing up fast, as are robots whose facial expressions can elicit empathy and make your mirror neurons quiver.”

Mechatronics is the art of science and technology of applying concepts for producing many new products and provided powerful ways of improving the efficiency of the products for improving quality of life we use in our daily life. It is an interdisciplinary field of engineering and engineering management that focuses on how to design, integrate, and manage complex systems over their life cycles. Here ideas, creativity, innovation matters a lot to develop efficient engineers. The department always ensure clarity of the basic concepts applied of science and technology, on the other hand we encourage students to look at practical needs from different angles and find innovative and creative solutions with the profound knowledge of the dedicated faculty members and sound resourced laboratory facilities, so the students can explore the amazing world of Mechatronics. Mechatronics gives an exposure to bio-mechatronics, which integrates mechanical parts with a human being. The students of Mechatronics Engineering will do their project work in leading industries which will help them to apply their theoretical knowledge to formulate and solve real life problems. This will be base for handling more challenging projects in an innovative application oriented projects from real life situations. This mechatronics programme aims to equip graduates of varied engineering disciplines with the interdisciplinary knowledge required for the development of highly-intelligent products, micro systems, automation techniques and robotic devices, in order to meet the challenges of automation required in industrial, transportation, medical, household and unmanned environments. Its development has dynamically reached a global size. At the same time, the miniaturization has opened up new possibilities, options and discoveries for the research industry. We are very proud of producing the engineers of the future and helping rewrite the definition of engineering.
