Centre of Excellence in Electric Vehicles

Centre of Excellence in Electric Vehicles

Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology has established a Centre of Excellence for Electric Vehicles to focus on research, development, and education in the field of electric vehicles and their components. The centre offers students hands-on experience and promotes the use of sustainable transportation.

In addition to electric vehicles, the centre also focuses on All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) which are designed for use on rough terrain. ATVs typically have powerful engines and large wheels for improved performance in challenging conditions.

Solar-Powered Vehicles are also a part of the centre’s focus, which utilizes energy from the sun through solar panels to convert sunlight into electrical energy. This is a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional gasoline-powered vehicles.

Lithium Ion Battery Technology and Brushless DC (BLDC) Motors are other areas of expertise at the Centre of Excellence for Electric Vehicles. Lithium-ion batteries are used as a power source in various applications, including electric vehicles, while BLDC motors are widely used in electric vehicles due to their high efficiency and reliability.

In conclusion, the Centre of Excellence for Electric Vehicles at Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology is a hub for cutting-edge research and education in the field of electric vehicles and related technologies, with a focus on promoting sustainable transportation solutions.

In past 5 years, 38 awards including overall winner /runner-up championship were achieved by SAE in SAE Efficycle, SAE BAJA, SAE Supra, Hybrid Vehicle Challenges and Solar Vehicle Competitions.
