About the Research Programme

The active research in Chemical Engineering department was started in the year 2019. Faculty is doing research (besides teaching) in the areas of natural product extraction, wastewater treatment, adsorption, catalyst preparation, Alternative Fuels, Biosorption, Hydrotropy, Extraction, Nanotechnology, Sol-Gel synthesis, Wastewater treatment and CO2 sequestration etc. The research works are published in reputed journals and conferences. The Department is highly state of art equipped with research equipment’s and specialized software’s (AspenPlus, MatLab, Ansys, LabView) for carrying out research.

Already three faculty members have become the research guides of Anna University, Chennai. Chemical Engineering students have been involved in research work; moreover, they have published several papers in highly reputed international journals.
