HOD'S Message

Warm greetings from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology. Our mission is to provide the students with a balance of skill and knowledge that could enable them to address a variety of Industrial and social needs. Our curriculum encompasses elements from major disciplines and focused on industry needs, research prerequisites, societal benefits, etc.

We are pioneers in vehicle building activities based competitions challenged across the country and conducted by world renowned professional societies like SAE. Our students are guided to design, model, simulate, analyse and fabricate future concept vehicles like solar car, Hybrid Electric car, Electric Tricycle, All Terrain vehicle and formula one car.

The students undergo rigorous intellectual, analytical, computational and practical works, 24x7 in our specially furnished BAJA workshop attached with our incubation centre. We have government agency MSME approved business incubator in our campus, predominantly lead by our innovation team. We ideate, incubate, propose to various funding agencies like DST, NSRDEB, MSME and move forward to provide possible, secured patenting. We play major roles in conducting workshops, seminars and other live sessions to make the college IPR club very active. We support lots of activities coming under the Purview of IIC-HICET. We are striving to provide a strong Eco system to nurture innovation, entrepreneurship, IPR, startup related programs in our campus. In our department, faculty with Ph.D , rich experience in teaching, lot of expertise are present to enlighten the students in various fields of engineering importance and quality emergence. Many of our faculty are pioneers in the fields of solar energy, wind energy, vibration analysis, vehicle dynamics, welding and so on. I strongly believe real worth mentioning transformation will take place for the takers of Mechanical program in our campus.
